New research funding for the Narnian Virtues Character Education Project

A team at the School of Education, University of Leeds, led by Professor Mark Pike, has been awarded £930,000 from the John Templeton Foundation for the next stage of the Narnian Virtues project.

Dr Peter Hart and Dr Shirley-Anne Paul will be full-time researchers on the project for the next three years with Associate Professors Dr Paula Clarke and Dr Matt Homer leading on quantitative analysis.

Working with teachers and parents, the research project evaluates the character development of 5000 young people participating in a curriculum based on three of the Narnia novels.
