Dr Jess Elmore
I have recently completed a PhD in Library and Information Science at University of Sheffield. My PhD was a case study exploring information sharing in two ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes.
Prior to my PhD I have worked as a community learning development worker, a teacher and a university administrator.
My research interests centre on the intersections of migration, education and information. I have a particular interest in information literacy and information practice but this is informed by wider interest in sociocultural and critical theories.
I am an experienced qualitative researcher interested in case study and participatory methods.
I am currently the research assistant on project: Improving educational and social outcomes for deaf children of Roma families in the UK
Research projects

Any research projects I'm currently working on will be listed below. Our list of all research projects allows you to view and search the full list of projects in the faculty.
